We have been seeking for the great suburb to stay in Sydney. It has to be around half an hour to an hour divided from Sydney CBD, it has to be the good, purify suburb (basically not rough) as well as if probable you would similar to somewhere with pretty labelled place to live eg. hotels, motels, lodges. Nowhere which you have to move the own tents, caravans, sleeping bags etc. Definetly NOT the backpackers.
Thanks heaps, for any answers.

OK, there are lots of good suburbs near the CBD. The ones in north Sydney, like Kirribili, Milsons Point and Chatswood are good. In the Eastern suburbs, Surry Hills is great, and is close to the CBD (about a 15 minute walk), Randwick is good and is about a half hour bus ride from the CBD. Bondi and Coogee are both OK, but there tend to be a lot of backpackers places and they may be a little far out for you, they’re about 30-40 minutes by bus. Kings Cross is the red light district, so avoid that and parts of Darlinghurst can be rough too, the Oxford Street side of Darlinghurst is fine. Oxford Street itself has plenty of nightlife, but it is safe. Redfern is also a rough area, so I’d avoid that too. http://www.totaltravel.com.au is a good website to find accommodation. Hope this helps.
Hey
Do the walk from Bondi beach to Coogee Beach. It will take around 2 hours, but its the most amazing walk and you walk through a few suburbs on the walk up the coast. Make sure you go whale watching as well.
Do share your travel experiences….
Cheers
You should try Chatswood, Kirribilli, Milsons Point, they are close to the city and have accommodation places like what you are looking for, however they may not be that cheap but they are good suburbs on the north side of Sydney.
Try Manly, Chatswood, Artarmon, or North Ryde.
