I have to lift a tiny trailer during a initial week of Oct from Minneapolis to Las Vegas. we have never done a trip. There have been multiform routes upon Map-Quest, though what is a safest track by a plateau which time of a year???? Also, we devise upon staying 3 nights en route, so any unequivocally great motels upon a way??? Thanks so much…I adore this Yahoo Answers….it has helped me so most over a years. Blessings!

The weather has been really crazy this year, so be ready to vary your journey by the week as you get a look at the ten-day forecasts.
Stick to the Interstate highways if you can. I recommend I-35 south to either Kansas City (to pick up I-70 to Denver and Utah, then down I-15) or Oklahoma City (I-40 west to Amarillo, Flagstaff and then up US93 at Kingman, AZ using the new bypass around Boulder Dam). US93 is being upgraded to near Interstate standards.
It depends. What are you driving and how heavy is the trailer?
For the least mountains I would suggest going due south as much as possible and intersect I-40 at Amarillo. Then head west until Kingman and north to Vegas. Definitely not the shortest route.
But if your tow vehicle has a V-6 or better or the trailer is under 1200 lbs then go via Salt Lake City.
