I'm travelling across Canada this summer, any good tips?

I’m not utterly clueless so we do not have to discuss it me to check the vigour in my tires as well as shift my oil as well as equivocate the hitchhiker with the bloodstains upon his cloak as well as the chainsaw.

What we wish to know most is what have been good traveller attractions in the most most places I’ll be visiting. For instance, I’m starting to revisit Winnipeg zoo, though what have been good places to revisit in let’s say… Saskatoon?

What we wish is to have this noted as well as we do not caring how prolonged it takes to get there as prolonged as we get to see epic scenery. I’m starting to revisit my family in Victoria, BC starting from Montreal, QC. we know the cost is about 1100$ for gas as well as an one more 100$ for motel/hostel bedrooms per night (the nights we do not wish to snooze in my car).

I’ve seen cinema as well as all looks extraordinary all opposite Canada. I’m the arrange of man that’ll stop upon the side of the highway as well as go burst in the lake since we feel similar to it. I’m which man which goes take the snooze in the center of the woods since the air smells so damn fresh. Although we do adore selling in grand worldly cities. And museums (especially the arts). Please cruise this when commenting upon what kind of places we should visit.

If someone can find me the website dedicated to this arrange of thing, you’ll be 10 points richer.

I’ve finished investigate though all my google formula route me to questions upon Yahoo Answers which all aren’t utterly what I’m seeking for.

Cheers as well as interjection in advance

There are 3 suggestions to question “I'm travelling across Canada this summer, any good tips?”

  1. There’s so much to see that no one can list all of it. Every province and most towns and cities have websites devoted, if not to tourist attractions specifically, at least to the features and merits of that place. You’ll see epic scenery any way you go.

You might consider heading up to Ottawa first. It has the National Gallery and an assortment of museums. Some of them might be a good introduction to some aspects of Canadian life.

Then I would head for Toronto, with a stop in Peterborough to see the Canadian Canoe Museum. They have some really excellent canoes. Peterborough also has its Lift Lock which doesn’t take long to see but is great to watch. If you also stop in Bobcaygeon, it’s a very typical small town that gets a lot of summer activity and it’s great fun watching boats getting through the canal there.

You might want to see the McMichael Gallery in Kleinburg.

There’s so much to do in Toronto and it’s so easy to find out what’s there that I’m not going to say much. Royal Ontario Museum is worth a visit. Take the ferry over and spend an afternoon on Toronto Island and if you get hold of a bicycle(there are rentals) it’s great place to cycle, flat as a board, no cars except service vehicles and you can see the whole thing in a few hours.

Niagara Falls is a dreadful tourist trap in many ways but the Falls themselves are great. Take the tour under the Falls or go on the Maid of the Mist. Niagara on the Lake is worth a visit. The Shaw Festival(theatre) runs all summer.

The Muskoka area is worth at least passing through, but my favourite way of getting out of Ontario is to head up Hwy 6 or Hwy 10 to Owen Sound and past it to take the ferry from Tobermory. Owen Sound is a good place to stop, too, Plan ahead carefully for that ferry, it gets busy in summer. There are some great sandy beaches on the eastern shore of Lake Huron.

From there to Manitoba it’s mostly about scenery or lack of it. Some parts are very pretty, others dull as dishwater. And I can’t personally recommend a whole lot of stuff in the prairie provinces, either, though they certainly have more to offer than a flat space for driving through. I like the wide open spaces so much that I usually just cruise right on through. http://www.tourismsaskatoon.com/events/ Search the same kind of thing for Winnipeg. People in those areas tend to want to take big advantage of the good summer weather and there’s lots going on in summer.

  2. I would suggest you check out http://tripadvisor.com/ especially the forums at http://www.tripadvisor.com/ListForums-g153339-i49-Canada.html … there are a lot of very knowledgeable people about Canada on there. You could try placing some questions in each province that you’ll be in and see what kind of responses you get. They tend to give much more thorough responses than the people on yahoo answers.

  3. the best tip i can give you is to bring a winter jacket soo cold her

Your suggestion?
