On 6th and Guadalupe, there’s an Extended Stay America. It’s across 6th from the Post Office. Guadalupe is only about 3-4 blocks from the 6th St bars, and about 2 blocks from the Warehouse District bars. Also, there’s a La Quinta on 11th and San Jacinto. It’s only 5 blocks from the 6th bars. Depending on when you’re staying, you should be able to stay for about $100/night, plus tax & valet if applicable. (It is at LQ)
If you have a little more money to spend, the Driskill, Omni and Stephen F Austin are on 7th and Brazos, a block away from the good part of 6th St.
This is not real close to sixth street but is a cool retro from the day motel…the Austin motel( right across the street from the Continental Club) which has great blue smusic
I know the Hilton is at 5th and Red River. That’s what comes to mind right away. Plus there’s Courtyard Marriott on 4th.
There was Omni hotel or something like that. I think its the greatest hotel in Austin. I’m not sure its on the 6th street but could be very near to 6th street.
