I always book on Orbitz.com I have never found cheaper. You could get on their website and see. Just fill out the dates with fictitious dates from Phoenix to Paris, and look at all the results. Use PHX and PAR for airport codes. It won’t be as expensive as you think unless you use tomorrow’s date. Use a date 30 days for now to check the deals on airfare.

The least amount of stopovers, the better. I saw a price of $2,300 for a ticket which is a lot more than I expected!
You can search ORBITZ as much as you want. I got to playing around on there, and found a fare of $1300 (probably a pre-tax amount). I used advanced search and then flexible dates. So I picked Fridays for my date but allowed the search engine to look for Saturdays and Thursdays as well. I did this because sometimes flights on weekends are cheaper, and sometimes it is midweek.
No. It was $1280 after taxes! It was from PHX to Charlotte, NC to Paris and return trip so that is really good because there is not a lot of stopovers:

Goto either priceline.com, travelocity.com, or orbitz.com and make your sister pick what is best for you.
novotel hotels are cheap in europe. it’s clean and comfy. but if you really want cheap, you can research on hostels (if you don’t mind small rooms, bathroom sharing, etc…..i personally could not brave that myself…but if you camp, i think you can handle hostels)…..expect about $1500 each for airfare.
also as much fun and ideal it is to go ‘backpacking’ in europe, if it’s just you (15 by then) and your sister (20 by then), consider going through a school group tour. one, it’s always safer travelling with a group. two, you get to go to more places (bit quick though, but you cover more ground so the next time you go back on your own, you’d know which places you really like and would want to go back to). three, it’ll probably be cheaper.
once you and your sister are over 21, go back to paris and it’ll be a whole new different experience…
