LOL, pretend that you forgot your shirts? I like the idea, but it may just sound a bit strange to your friends. Sure I like to be shirtless as well as it is much more comfortable. You can start by be shirtless at home when they come visit you. After all, it’s your place. You can start the trip with shirtless, either when they come to pick you up or you drive to their place. If they ask, simply said that you don’t want to bring too many shirts on the trip as you want to travel light and do less laundry.
