it is not a big place and i know it is not costly …..

The best you can find is on St-Jacques street. That’s in NDG, about $10 cab ride from downtown. There are absolutely 0 motels on two levels as you are looking for, all the hotels downtown are hotels, and high rises with front desks. I can suggest Colibri on St-Jacques, but don’t get caught.
