There are 2 suggestions to question “What areas in San Antonio should I avoid as far as hotels goes? maybe going for motel 6 sea world taking kids?”

  1. I would avoid anything that is inside loop 410 or on the south/east side of the city. There is a Motel 6 near 1604/Bandera Road that will put you about ten minutes from Sea World. There are also alot of motels along 410 between Ingram and Marbach that would be convienent as well.

  2. You can buy a two day pass for the price of a one day ticket online for 46.99 for adults and 36.99 for children(ages 3-9)….if you don’t have access to online purchases, you can go to any one of San Antonio’s H-E-B grocery stores and buy the tickets there for the same price. We just got back from San Antonio and I had problems buying the tickets online, so I called their 800 number and they told me that I could buy the tickets for the same price at any HEB grocery store. If you have kids take them both days, its kinda hard to get in all the shows and the rides all in one day. They also have a small water park now that is included in with the price above so, if you get hot you can always walk over to the water park and cool off.
Here is another freebie if you have older kids Take them to the haunted RR tracks. We went on a Sunday night and it was great….our kids were so scared. I’ve been twice, once two years ago, during the day and no one was there, but when we went a week ago at night there was a lot of people there. They were taking pics of the back of our vehicle because “supposingly” they saw hand prints on the back of our car. I took pictures of these people taking pics of our car. You might want to look it up on map quest so you can be clear to as where you are going. Here are the exact directions…..Take 410 to the south part of town, exit Southton Rd and go south apx 1 mile, turn right on Shane Rd and take it about 1 to 2 miles until you come upon the railroad tracks. The Railroad tracks are on the corner of Villamain and Shane Rd. Go at night, thats the best time. When we were there this last time, someone left cookies and milk out for the ghost. Take some baby powder if your car isn’t white…..have fun.
