What is the best party area of Montreal?

Me as well as a little friends have been starting to Montreal this summer though you have been uncertain about which area is a most appropriate for clubs as well as bars as well as etc. We have been all eighteen or nineteen so preferably not an area which is as well ritzy though additionally not as well sketchy.

I have been told Rue St. Laurent as well as Rue St. Cathrine’s have been both right in a surrounded by of a fad though I’m not 100%.

Also any tips about specific hotels/motels, bars as well as clubs would be most appreciated.

There are 6 suggestions to question “What is the best party area of Montreal?”

  1. Go to one of the local churches on Sunday for a great time…..

  2. I hope you young persons are not contemplating the consumption of intoxicating liquors, that would be quite sinful.

  3. St. Denis, St. Laurent, Mont Royal are streets with good places to sinfully consume alcoholic beverages in. St. Catherines to a lesser extent, but as an English speaker try Crescent street too, many anglos hang in the bars along that street.

If you feel like some even heavier sinning, St. Catherines east has some good gay bars and drag shows.

Have fun and don’t remember to repent of your sinful ways afterwards! :D

  4. Hey!

Ok, you’re right on St. Laurent, but I think the other street you want to checkout is Crescent street! Light Ultraclub and Seven Nightclub are the main nightclub attractions on Crescent.

Crescent crosses Ste-Catherine Street West. It’s located in the western part of downtown. The bars on Crescent really vary…

Sir Winston Churchill’s Pub (Winnie’s) is packed on the patio during the day and is always lively at night. Thursday’s, which is next door, is exactly equivalent in terms of patio/day and nighttime partying. If you walk down Crescent passed Ste-Catherine Street, you have Hurley’s, Brutopia and MadHatters as pub options.

One street West of Crescent, on De La Montagne (Mountain St.) you have Club 1234 for your age group (large dance club) and Rosalie supperclub for those looking for a bit fancier and mid 20s crowd on the weekend. Across the street you have another good Pub, Ye Old Orchard.

Ste-Catherine is a great long street that runs across downtown. In the Crescent area heading west you’ll have your major shopping, and tons of people walking the sidewalks during the day. Clubs-wise, there’s more Gentleman’s Clubs than niteclubs.

Further east, hit up St.Laurent street north of Ste-Catherine (St. Laurent & Ste Catherine cross). Just above Sherbrooke, your now entering the "Plateau". First you’ll get Med, Buona Notte & Globe as supperclubs. Near Prince Arthur you have a plethora of options. For your age group, checkout Ivy Nighclub, A-Side/B-Side and Koi. For a 20s crowd, checkout Gogo’s Lounge.

You could attempt Old Montreal West as well to go out… try Santos… great spot on the weekend, can be difficult to get into, but worth it!

    Hope this helps!

  6. Crescent St is popular but also St-Laurent, Mont-Royal and St-Denis
