You're from LA, so you should know that things aren't cheap here. If there is a motel under $100 per night, there's a reason for it: They can't get people to rent out rooms at a higher price. That's usually because the hotel is dirty, poorly maintained, and/or in a very undesirable location. The Half Moon is in an OK neighborhood. It's very close to the 405, so you're going to get a lot of noise. Since you're from LA, don't you have friends or family in the area? I believe we already answered this question.
